Terms & Conditions

Effective August 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of panthergunsales.com and any purchase you make here. The site is operated by Twin Panthers Enterprises LLC, doing business as Panther Gun Sales, a federally licensed firearms dealer (Type 07 FFL) located in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

By placing an order you agree to what follows. If you don’t, don’t order.

1. Who may buy

To purchase from us you must be able to say all of the following truthfully:

  • You are at least 18 to purchase a long gun, and at least 21 to purchase a handgun. Age limits for ammunition follow the firearm it’s intended for, and some states set them higher.
  • You are legally permitted to purchase and possess the item where you live. You are not a prohibited person under federal or state law.
  • You are buying for yourself. You are not buying on behalf of someone else.
  • The item you’re ordering is legal at your delivery address.

A word on straw purchases, plainly: buying a firearm for another person who cannot legally buy it themselves is a federal felony, and lying about it on Form 4473 is a separate one. We take this seriously. If an order looks like a straw purchase, we cancel it and refund it — and we would rather lose a sale than be part of one.

2. Firearms are sold subject to transfer and background check

Ordering and paying for a firearm here does not complete the sale. Every firearm ships to a licensed dealer, where you complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check in person. If you cannot lawfully complete that transfer, you do not get the firearm — see our Refund & Returns policy for how the money is handled.

3. We may refuse or cancel an order

We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order, at any time, for any lawful reason. That includes suspected fraud, suspected unlawful purchase, an item that cannot legally ship to your address, an obvious pricing or inventory error, or a quantity that looks like resale rather than personal use. If we cancel, you get a full refund. You are never charged for an order we decline.

4. Pricing, availability and product information

  • Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice. The price that governs is the one shown when your order is accepted.
  • We sell from live distributor inventory. An item can sell out between your order and fulfillment. If that happens we’ll tell you and refund in full.
  • Product descriptions, specifications and images come largely from manufacturers and distributors. We do not guarantee they are complete or error-free. If a detail matters to your decision, ask us before you buy and we’ll confirm it.
  • Some manufacturers set minimum advertised prices, which is why certain items show a price only in the cart.
  • Sales tax is applied where required.

5. Compliance is yours

Firearms law varies by state, county and city, and it changes. You are responsible for knowing and obeying the law where you are. We make a good-faith effort not to ship anything into a jurisdiction where it’s prohibited, but we cannot know every local ordinance, and our effort does not transfer that responsibility to us. Our Shipping Policy covers this in more detail.

6. Warranties

Products are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties, and those warranties are the ones that apply. We are a dealer, not a manufacturer, and we make no separate warranty of our own. Except where the law says otherwise, products are sold as-is with respect to any warranty from us. We’ll help you open and pursue a warranty claim — that part we do gladly.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for the item in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Safe handling is your responsibility

Firearms are dangerous when handled carelessly. You are responsible for the safe use, storage, transport and securing of anything you buy from us, for reading the manufacturer’s manual, and for keeping firearms away from children and anyone not permitted to have them. We assume no responsibility for injury or damage resulting from use, misuse, or unlawful use of a product after it leaves our hands.

Reloading components and equipment carry their own risks. Follow published load data. We are not responsible for outcomes of handloaded ammunition.

9. Your account

If you create an account you’re responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for activity under your login. Tell us if you think it’s been compromised. We may suspend or close an account used for fraud or unlawful purchases.

10. Our content

The Panther Gun Sales name, logo, site design and original text are ours. Don’t copy them for commercial use without written permission. Manufacturer images and descriptions remain the property of their owners.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Twin Panthers Enterprises LLC and its owner from claims and costs arising out of your breach of these terms, your violation of any law, or your misuse of a product purchased here.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Blair County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to that venue.

13. Severability

If any provision here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do, and the version in place when you order is the one that governs your order.
