This policy explains what we collect, why, and who sees it. Panther Gun Sales is operated by Twin Panthers Enterprises LLC, a federally licensed firearms dealer (Type 07 FFL) in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Questions go to brian@panthergunsales.com.
The short version: we collect what we need to fill your order and satisfy federal firearms law, and we don’t sell your information to anybody.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, the items you bought, and the licensed dealer you chose to receive a firearm.
Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. What reaches us is a confirmation, the last four digits, and the name on the card.
If you create an account: your username, password (stored encrypted — we cannot read it), and order history.
Automatically, when you browse: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived. This comes from cookies and standard web analytics.
If you email us: whatever you choose to tell us, kept with your order record.
Why we collect it
- To process, ship and support your order.
- To verify a receiving dealer’s license before shipping a firearm.
- To comply with federal, state and local firearms law, including recordkeeping the ATF requires of every licensed dealer.
- To detect and prevent fraud and unlawful purchases.
- To answer your questions.
- To send order updates. Marketing email only if you ask for it, and every message has an unsubscribe link that works.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, and we do not trade it.
We share only what’s necessary, only with:
- Distributors who fulfill your order — your shipping details, so the box gets to the right place.
- The licensed dealer you selected — your name and order details, so they can log the firearm in and complete your transfer.
- Shipping carriers — address and contact information for delivery.
- Our payment processor — to charge your card and handle any dispute.
- Service providers who run parts of this site — hosting, email, analytics — under obligations to protect it.
Law enforcement and regulators: as a federal licensee we are required to keep firearms transaction records and to make them available to the ATF in the course of a lawful inspection or trace request. We will also comply with a valid subpoena, warrant or court order. We will not hand over customer information voluntarily or casually — but where the law compels disclosure, we comply, and you should know that going in.
Firearms transactions and legal compliance
As a federally licensed firearms dealer we are required to comply with strict federal, state and local law. Certain transactions require us to collect and retain information needed to complete background checks, verify eligibility, and facilitate transfers through licensed dealers. That information is handled according to those legal requirements and may be disclosed to authorized regulatory or law enforcement agencies when the law requires it.
We do not use information collected for regulated firearm transactions for unrelated marketing. If you buy a rifle from us, that fact does not go into a promotional list, get sold, or get shared with anyone who isn’t part of completing and recording that sale. The only exception is if you separately and explicitly ask to hear from us.
Shipping and transfer data
When you buy a firearm or other regulated item, your information is shared with the licensed dealer you selected so they can lawfully receive the item and complete your transfer. Shipping details are shared with carriers and logistics providers to deliver non-regulated products.
State and local restrictions limit where certain products can be shipped, and we use the information you provide — principally your address — to determine whether an order can lawfully be filled to your location.
How long we keep it
Ordinary business and website records are kept as long as needed for the purposes above.
Firearms transaction records are different. Federal law dictates how long a licensed dealer must retain acquisition and disposition records and completed transfer forms, and those retention periods are long and are not ours to shorten. A request to delete your information cannot reach records we are legally required to keep.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, keep you signed in, and understand which pages people actually use. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the site will still work, but your cart and login may not persist.
Your choices
- See or correct your information — email us and we’ll pull it up.
- Delete it — we’ll remove what we’re not legally required to keep, and tell you plainly what we can’t.
- Stop marketing email — use the unsubscribe link, or email us. Order and shipping notices continue, since those are part of the transaction.
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights over your personal information. Email us and we’ll honor them.
Security
This site runs over an encrypted connection, payment card data goes directly to our processor rather than through us, and access to order records is limited. No system is perfectly secure and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something — but we don’t hold the category of data that makes a breach catastrophic, because we never store your card number.
Age
This site is not intended for anyone under 18, we do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell to minors. See our Terms & Conditions for the age requirements that apply to firearms and ammunition.

Links to manufacturers, dealers or reference material are provided for your convenience. Once you leave this site you’re under someone else’s privacy policy, not ours.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the site.
