Refund & Returns

Effective August 7, 2026

This policy explains returns, refunds, exchanges, and order issues for purchases from Panther Gun Sales, operated by Twin Panthers Enterprises LLC. By completing a purchase with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

All sales are final

All sales are considered final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a purchase has been completed. Customers are responsible for reviewing product details, specifications, compatibility, and legal eligibility before placing an order.

Because of the regulated nature of most of what we sell — firearms, ammunition, magazines, and related accessories — this policy is enforced without exception.

We’re a small licensed dealer shipping direct from distributor stock. We don’t hold inventory, we can’t resell a returned item as new, and our distributors charge us to take product back. Rather than build that into every price, we keep prices honest and sell final. What we do instead is answer your questions before you buy — tell us the rifle, the distance, the budget, what you’re trying to do. We actually shoot this stuff. That conversation is free and it’s worth more than a return policy.

Firearms and regulated items

Firearms and other regulated products cannot be returned once they have been shipped, transferred, or delivered to a receiving FFL dealer.

This isn’t a preference, it’s how the law works. When you complete ATF Form 4473 and the background check, that firearm becomes legally yours and is now a used firearm. Sending it back would be a second transfer with its own paperwork, and it could never again be sold as new.

So inspect the firearm at your dealer’s counter, before you sign. Your dealer will let you. If something is wrong — wrong model, wrong caliber, visible damage, missing accessories — do not complete the transfer. Have your dealer set it aside and contact us that day. Before the transfer we have options. After it, nobody does.

Transfer fees, background check costs, storage fees, and any other charges imposed by a receiving dealer are your responsibility and are not refundable by us.

If a transfer is denied or cannot be completed — a failed background check, a waiting period you don’t complete, a state or local restriction, or incorrect information you provided — the sale remains final and the purchase price is not refunded.

You do not lose the firearm. It remains at your receiving dealer, and you may arrange for it to be sold or transferred there to another purchaser who is lawfully eligible to buy it. Storage or transfer fees that dealer charges are between you and them.

One hard limit, and it is federal law, not our policy: that other purchaser must be buying the firearm for themselves. You may not arrange for another person to acquire a firearm on your behalf. That is a straw purchase, it is a federal felony for both people involved, and we will report any attempt to arrange one.

Do not order a firearm if you have any reason to believe you are prohibited from possessing one. If you are unsure, resolve that before you spend money — ask a local FFL or an attorney. We would much rather answer that question before your order than after.

Order accuracy is your responsibility

Review your order carefully before checkout — product selection, caliber, configuration, shipping address, and your chosen FFL dealer.

We are not responsible for incorrect orders resulting from customer error, including ordering the wrong product, caliber, configuration, mount size, or accessory. Once an order has entered processing or a shipment has been initiated, it cannot be modified or cancelled.

Optics, mounts, and accessories

Final sale. Scopes, red dots, rings, bases, bipods, chassis, cases, tools, and reloading equipment are not returnable once shipped.

Here’s why that costs you less than it sounds. The optics we sell carry manufacturer warranties that are better than any store return policy. Several are lifetime, transferable, and no-questions-asked — they’ll repair or replace a scope you damaged yourself, years later, without a receipt. Email us and we’ll point you at the right claim and follow up with you.

Worth reading twice: once rings have marked a scope tube, it is no longer new. Check your ring diameter and mounting height before you order. If you’re not certain, ask — that’s a two-minute email and we’d rather have it than have you guess.

Ammunition and components

Final sale, no exceptions, including unopened boxes. This is a safety and liability matter rather than a policy choice — once ammunition leaves our distributor we have no way to verify how it was stored or handled. The same applies to primers, powder, and any other hazardous material.

Damaged or defective items

If a non-regulated item arrives visibly damaged from shipping, contact the shipping carrier to initiate a claim. Responsibility for transit damage rests with the carrier. We’ll assist with documentation — invoices, packing details, proof of shipment — but the claim is between you and them.

For manufacturer defects, contact the manufacturer directly about warranty coverage, repair, or replacement. Warranty claims are handled according to that manufacturer’s policy. Tell us and we’ll help you find the right department and stay on it with you.

Photograph the outer box before you open it if it looks damaged, and inspect everything the day it arrives. Carrier claim deadlines are short and set by the carrier, not by us.

Shipping costs and fees

Shipping charges, handling fees, transfer fees, and processing costs are non-refundable.

If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or a legal shipping restriction in your area, additional fees may apply for reshipment or administrative handling.

Cancelling an order

If your order has not yet entered processing, email us and we’ll cancel it and refund you in full — no fee, no argument. Once processing has begun or a shipment has been initiated, it is final.

Pricing and availability errors

We sell from live distributor feeds, and occasionally a price or stock count comes through wrong. We reserve the right to cancel any order affected by an obvious error. If we do, you receive a full refund and an explanation — we won’t quietly substitute something else or bill you a corrected price.

Fraud prevention and order refusal

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order we suspect involves fraud, misuse, or a violation of applicable law. Any refund issued in those circumstances is at our sole discretion and may be reduced by administrative or payment processing fees where permitted by law.

Refunds

Where a refund is due under this policy, it is issued to the original payment method, normally within 3 to 5 business days. How quickly it appears on your statement is up to your bank. We’ll email you when it’s issued.

Policy changes

We may update or modify this policy at any time to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, or business practices. Updates are posted here and take effect on publication.
